Flowers Nissan is a proud community member and we are honored to support various local charities and nonprofit organizations that strive to make a difference in our community. Below are some of those we support and a little information about them.

 

 

The Vashti Center was founded in 1903 as a mission of the United Methodist Women and works with children and youth with a variety of challenges.  Their residential program has been uniquely designed to provide a safe, structured and consistently nurturing environment that allows healing and growth for children ranging in ages from 10-18.  In addition to the residential program The Vashti Center provides counciling and mental health services including individual, group and family therapy in Thomas County, Brooks County, Colquitt County, Decatur County, Grady County and Mitchell County.

Rotary Club of Thomasville Georgia was chartered on May 1, 1921, there are over 110 Rotarians working with youth, helping our community and playing an active part in International and World Community Service. Just a few of their community programs include; Functional Literacy, Youth Mentoring, Elderly Concern, Habitat for Humanity, Career Development / Vocational and Scholarship Awards. They also have a Golf and Tennis Tournament to raise funds each year.

Kiwanis Club of Thomasville was chartered on September 29, 1926, the Thomasville Kiwanis Club has continually sponsored programs to promote the young people of our community. Just a few of the community programs they support include; Special Olympics, Terrific Kids, Farmer Appreciation, Rose City Walk, Reading is Fundamental, Citizenship Awards, Goal and Scholarships Awards. They also have a few annual fundraisers which are Pancake Supper, Chicken BBQ and Radio Day.

Thomasville Junior Service League is a women's organization dedicated to meeting the economic, recreational, cultural and medical needs of children in our community. All proceeds from our activities support children's programs in Thomasville and Thomas County. Among the charitable contributions are the support of The Treehouse Children's Advocacy Center of Thomasville; the funding of eye glasses for children who otherwise would not receive those services; and numerous other opportunities to assist area children. Southeastern Community Blood Center, a division of Florida Blood Services, is a not-for-profit blood center serving the North Florida and South Georgia region. As our name suggests, community is our number one priority. With the help of contributions from volunteer blood donors, we strive each day to maintain a strong and steady blood supply for patients within the community.
